I became Tovino Thomas’s fan after watching Guppy: Wamiqa Gabbi
Tovino Thomas starrer Godha is getting excellent response from all the centres. The movie, directed by Kunjiramayanam fame Basil Joseph has been given a clean chit by the critics rating it as an entertaining watch that can be enjoyed with families.
Godha, written by Rakesh Mantodi is a full on entertainer with wrestling as the backdrop. Punjabi actress Wamiqa Gabbi has played the female lead in the movie. Her character Aditi Singh has equal prominence, if not more, to that of Tovino’s Anjaneya Das.
In a recent interview, the actress was all praise for her co-star Tovino Thomas. It was during the shoot of Godha that his Guppy was released. Wamiqa happened to watch the movie and became his fan instantly. Wamiqa who till then knew Tovino as just a friendly co-star came to know what an amazing actor he is. Both of them have a lot of combination scenes in the movie and their chemistry has come out really well.
Wamiqa Gabbi has been getting a lot of appreciation for her portrayal of the fierce yet lovable Aditi Singh. All the critics have given a special mention for her power packed performance in the movie. It is rare to see such strong female characters in a mainstream movie and Wamiqa has made sure not to waste this golden opportunity.
Godha has a host of other supporting actors that include Renji Panicker, Aju Varghese, Hareesh Perumanna, Harish Perady, Mala Parvathy, Dharmajan and Biju Kuttan among others. The movie is bankrolled by AV Anoop, CV Sarathy and Mukesh R Mehta under the banner of E4Entertainment.
