Charlie will speak Tamil, Bengali and Marathi languages
Martin Prakkat directorial film Charlie, scripted by Martin Prakkat himself in associated with noted writer Unni R has been one of the biggest hits in Mollywood as well as the biggest ever success in Dulquer Salmaan’s career as well. The film which had Dulquer Salmaan and Parvathy in the lead had got great appreciation from common audience as well as from critics. The icing on the cake for the team behind Charlie was the State film awards that announced on March 1st.
The film had bagged 8 State Film awards including the best Actor award, best actress award, best cinematographer award and best screenplay award. Now, its official that the film is all set to speak 3 different languages as well. It will be remade to Tamil, Bengali and Marathi languages.

The news about Tamil version had come earlier and there were rumors came also about the actors who is going to play the lead role in Tamil version. Names of Siva Karthikeyan and Vijay Sethupathy had come up as a part of the rumor. Not many Malayalam films usually remade to Bengali and Marathi languages. But Charlie’s universal plot attracted them as well.
Charlie had made a business above 42 crore and the success it got along with the critical appreciation may have lured industries like Bengal and Maharashtra to buy the rights of the film. Anyway let’s wait for the other language versions of Charlie. Will it be better than Charlie or will it be completely different from the original version. We will see it soon.
