Confirmed: Fahadh Faasil and Amal Neerad set to reunite after the superhit Iyobinte Pusthkam!
Ever since the success of ‘Mahehsinte Prathikaram’, Fahadh Faasil has been very choosy with his movies and has slowed down considerably. Except for a dud in ‘Role Models’, all his other recent movies have been critically acclaimed and won him praise. In a bid to continue the good run, he has signed another promising project.
Fahadh has signed a new movie with director Amal Neerad. Aishwarya Lekshmi who became hugely popular after ‘Mayaanadhi’ will be playing the female lead opposite Fahadh in this upcoming movie. Amal Neerad himself will be producing the movie under his banner Amal Neerad Productions.
This yet-to-be titled movie is slated to go on floors by the end of this month in Vagamon. As per reports, the final schedule of Fahadh’s upcoming movie Trance, directed by Anwar Rasheed, will commence only after the completion of Amal Neerad’s movie. Interestingly, Amal Neerad is also handling the cinematography in Trance.
Amal Neerad has previously directed Fahadh Faasil in the acclaimed ‘Iyobinte Pusthakam’. The movie, which was a period-thriller, is widely regarded as one of the most stylish films ever made in Malayalam cinema. It won a total of four awards at the State level including one for Amal Neerad for best cinematography.
When Fahadh and Amal Neerad reunite after a four-year long gap, expectations are naturally on the higher side. More details regarding the genre or other cast and crew have not yet been revealed. Let’s wait for the official announcement.
