Dhanush’s Jagame Thandhiram to be out on Netflix
In what comes as a big surprise, Dhanush’s highly anticipated film ‘Jagame Thandhiram’ might skip a theatrical release. As per latest reports, the film is getting ready to premiere in Netflix. Though theatres have resumed functioning, the streaming giant has offered a huge sum which the makers don’t want to miss out. S Sashikanth of Y Not Studios is producing the film.
Interestingly, the producer has unfollowed Dhanush in Instagram and Twitter which leads to speculations that there is a rift within the team. Apparently, the star has pinned high hopes on the film and was hopeful of getting a theatrical release.
‘Jagame Thandhiram’ is written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Expectations are high as the actor-director duo are teaming up for the first time. It is a gangster flick, major portions of which are set in the UK. Dhanush will be appearing in two different looks in the film, one as a Madurai based gangster and the other set in London.
Aishwarya Lekshmi and ‘Game Over’ fame Sanchana Natarajan will be seen as the two female leads. Hollywood actor James Cosmo, who has starred in films like ‘Braveheart’, ‘Troy’ and the popular TV series ‘Game of Thrones’, is also essaying a crucial role in the film. Malayali actor Joju George and ‘Madras’ fame Kalaiyarasan are also part of the supporting cast.
