Dileesh Pothan plays the villain in Mohanlal’s Neerali
Neerali is one of the most awaited Malayalam movies coming up this year. Ajoy Varma is directing this movie which has Mohanlal playing the role of a gemologist. The movie scripted by newcomer Saju Thomas is said to be an adventure thriller. Shoot for the movie was wrapped up in quick time and if reports are to be believed, it is slated for an Eid release in June.
Nothing much is known about this film except for the fact that it is a thriller with a lot of VFX works involved in it. The makers have kept utmost secrecy about the storyline and the character details. This has naturally piqued the curiosity among the audience.
An exciting bit of information about Neerali is now doing the rounds in social medias. Actor-turned-filmmaker Dileesh Pothan is playing the villain in the movie. It is said to be one of the most challenging characters that Pothan has played till date. More details about his character in Neerali are not yet known. It is worth a mention that he last played a villain the Sunny Wayne starrer Pokkiri Simon.
Neerali’s cast also includes Nadiya Moidu, Parvatii Nair, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Nasser. Its technical crew is mostly from Bollywood. Santhosh Thundiyil, noted for his works in several Hindi films, has cranked the camera in Neerali. Director Ajoy Varma himself is editing the movie and Stephen Devassy is handling the music department.
Since Neerali is an adventure thriller, the movie has a lot of VFX works involved and the makers have signed one of India’s leading VFX companies to handle the same. They are investing huge amount of money and time to get the best possible output. Recently, the movie’s satellite rights was acquired by market leader Surya TV for a huge amount.
Neerali is produced by Santhosh T Kuruvilla’s Moonshot Entertainment, and co-produced by John Thomas and Mibu Jose Nettikdan.
