Dulquer Salmaan-Amal Neerad project has lots of surprises in store
Dulquer Salmaan is currently shooting for Amal Neerad’s yet to be titled movie abroad. The second schedule of the movie started in November in Mexico. Now the team will be moving down to Latin American countries for canning some important portions. Apparently, this will be the first time a Malayalam movie is being shot in Latin America.
The movie has been in the making for sometime now. First schedule of the movie happened in Kottayam and surrounding areas. That was completed by September. But the abroad schedule got postponed due to Visa problems.
Looks like this movie has got loads of surprise in store for us. During the initial shoot days in Kottayam, Dulquer was seen riding an Yezdi wearing the local attire, mundu. Even the first look posters released for his birthday had him in a rustic look. So it was expected that the movie will be a entertainer set in the Kottayam area. This was considered a refreshing change beacuse most of Dulquer Salmaan’s and Amal Neerad’s movies are set in the urban milieu.
Now we hear that major portions of the movie are set in the US and other nearby countries. The team is planning to shoot a lot of the portions in a few states in the US apart from Texas. After that they will be moving down south. Dulquer Salmaan, Jinu Joseph, Karthika, John Vijay and many other international artists are also part of this schedule. According to the director, the major plot of the movie very much evolves from this part of the world.
Action Hero Biju fame Anu Emmanuel was initially roped in to play the female lead. She even shot for a few scenes but was later replaced by newcomer Karthika Muraleedharan.
