Dulquer Salmaan and Sai Pallavi starrer flick which started its filming last month was untitled till now and the film is titled Kali now. The film was in the news for mainly two resaons. One is that it is the second film in which Dulquer Salmaan and Sameer Thahir joining together after the film Neelakasham Pacha Kadal Chuvanna Bhoomi. Second reason is that it is the second film of Sai Pallavi after she had made all the craze among youngsters in Kerala with her film opposite Nivin Pauly named Premam. Malar, the character played by her in the film was become a great reason for the success of that film as well.
The film Kali will have equal importance to action and romance. Dulquer Salmaan plays the character named Sidharth and Sai Pallavi playing a character named Anjali who is the wife of Sidharth. The film has other actors like Chemban Vinod. Soubin Shahir, Vinayakan playing key roles. The main locations of the film was Moonnar, Kuttikkanam and Kochi.
Dulquer’s character Sidharth is a customer relation officer of a new generation bank. The life of him from the age of 5 years to his 28th year is the main plot of the film. A new writer Rajesh Gopinath has written the dialogues and screenplay of the film. The film is financing by Ashiq Usman, Shyju Khalid and Sameer Thahir under the banner of Hand Made Films after the success of their first venture Chandrettan Evideya.
They are planning to release it on March 26 next year. The DOP of the film is Gireesh Gangadharan who was also the DOP of the Sameer Thahir-Dulquer team’s previous film Neelakasham Pacha Kadal Chuvanna Bhoomi.
