After so much anticipation, the Dulquer Salmaan-Sai Pallavi film had started rolling from yesterday. The film is directing by Sameer Thahir and it is his second project with Dulquer Salmaan in the lead after the film Neelakasham Pacha Kadal Chuvanna Bhoomi. Even though that film had got great critical appreciation, it did not do much well in box office. The shooting of the film had started in Ernakulam yesterday. Dulquer Salmaan is waiting for the release of his Martin Prakkat directorial film named Charlie, which will come on December 11 and he is also completed the first schedule of his Rajeev Ravi directorial untitled film.
Sai Pallavi is making a comeback to silver screen after her first film named Premam which was a stunning success here and had become the second highest grosser in Mollywood. Her character named Malar had made such an impact among the young audience that it was become instrumental in the success of that film. The character played by her had become a trend in Kerala and may be it is the first female character that had made an actress such a popular figure among the audience with her debut film here.
There has been lot of rumors about her second film after film. Asif Ali film Idi was the first one around which her name pops up at first and she had denied it through her Facebook profile. Then came rumors about her participation in Nivin Pauly’s film Action Hero Biju. That too went cold as Anu Emmanuel’s name officially announced as the heroine of the film later. Then came a big news that She has been doing a role in Mohanlal film directed by Major Ravi. Later that too went the way in which they arrived as the director Major Ravi himself denied it.
Sameer Thahir had introduced a new writer through his last film. It was Hashir Muhammad. Now through this film also he is introducing a new writer and his name is Rajesh Gopinadhan. Gireesh Gangadharan is the DOP of this film which is financed by Hand Made films under the ownership of Sameer Thahir, Shyju Khalid and Ashiq Usman.
