Fahadh Faasil garners applause for his performance in Take Off

Editor turned filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan’s debut directorial Take Off was released yesterday in around 224 theatres all over India. This movie has been getting excellent reports both from the critics and the trade sources.

Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil, Parvathy Menon and Asif Ali play the lead roles in the movie. Take Off is a story about nurses who get trapped in Iraq during the war period. The movie is inspired from real life incidents when around 40 nurses including Malayalis were trapped in a hospital in Tikrit region in Iraq due to the ISIS attacks

Fahadh Faasil, who was out of action for over one year, made sure that the wait was worth it. He played the role of Manoj Abraham, an Indian embassy officer in the movie. Though his screen time was limited, he won the maximum applause with his effortless performance and screen presence.

His character is very pivotal to the story line and the role was absolutely safe in his hands. Such a talented actor who can have a lasting impact even if his screen time is limited to a few minutes. Through Take Off, Fahadh once again showed why he is rated as the most talented among the current generation of actors.

Take Off is jointly written by Mahesh Narayanan and PV Shaji Kumar. Sanu Varghese who has worked in movies like Vishwaroopam and Wazir has cranked the camera. Abhilash Balachandran and Mahesh Narayanan has handled the edits.

Take Off was made as a tribute to late filmmaker Rajesh Pillai. It is funded by Anto Joseph and Shebin Becker in association with Rajesh Pillai Films. Megha Rajesh Pillai is the executive producer of the movie.
