I’m afraid of superstardom: Dulquer Salmaan
Dulquer Salmaan is currently on a high both personally and professionally. He recently became a proud daddy to a baby girl after five years of marital life with Amaal Sufiya. On the professional front, his latest outing CIA aka Comrade In America is doing great business. With that, it’s back to back hits for Dulquer in 2017 and he has once again staked his claim to be one of the most bankable actors in Mollywood currently.
The actor in a recent interview to Vanitha, a popular monthly, opened up about his views on superstardom. Despite being one of the most popular actors around, Dulquer is afraid of superstardom. He believes that superstardom is something that suits only those actors who have been extraordinary over a long period of time.
But now, an actor is crowned a star after the success of one movie. Dulquer Salmaan firmly believes that such overnight stardom will not last long. He wishes to be called as an ‘actor’ and not as a ‘star’ by the audience.
Dulquer is currently shooting for the final schedule of his upcoming bilingual Solo, directed by Bejoy Nambiar. He will be soon joining the sets of debutant Salam Bukhari’s Kochi based entertainer. He has also committed for Lal Jose- Unni R team’s Oru Bhayankara Kamukan and a mass entertainer with Pulimurugan director Vysakh.
