Indrans & Madhubala Starrer Babuji Productions’ Debut Film Wraps Shoot in Varanasi
The inaugural production venture of Babuji Productions, helmed by Abhijith Babuji, has completed filming in the culturally rich city of Varanasi. Titled Production No. 1, this highly anticipated Malayalam film marks the return of legendary actress Madhubala to Mollywood after a significant hiatus. Sharing the spotlight is the National Award-winning actor Indrans, promising a compelling cinematic experience.
Directed by Varsha Vasudev, who garnered widespread acclaim for her short film Ente Narayanikku, this film is an exciting milestone for Malayalam cinema. Not only has Varsha directed the film, but she has also penned its script, showcasing her multifaceted talent. Notably, this is the first Malayalam movie to be shot entirely in Varanasi, making it a visually and culturally significant project.
Adding to the film’s allure is music director Govind Vasantha, celebrated for his soulful compositions, who is expected to deliver a mesmerizing soundtrack. Cinematographer Faiz Siddique, known for his exceptional framing, has captured the essence of Varanasi in every shot.
Madhubala’s return has sparked waves of excitement among fans. She was a beloved figure in 1990s Malayalam classics like Yodha, Neelagiri, and Ottayal Pattalam. Her recent work in the anthology series Manorathangal, based on MT Vasudevan Nair’s stories, showcased her timeless charm and acting prowess.
