Kalyani Priyadarshan making her Kollywood debut with Vikram
Master director Priayadarshan and his wife Lissy got divorced last year. Both of them are busy with their own works now. Priayadarshan is now in the post-production works of his upcoming Mohanlal movie Oppam. In the meantime, Kalyani Priyadarshan , the daughter of Priyadarshan and Lissy is making her debut in Kollywood with Chiyan Vikram movie Irumugan which will hit the screens next month.
Kalyani Priyadarshan is not making her debut as an actress like her mother. But she has made her debut in Kollywood as an assistant director to Anand Shankar who had directed Iru Mugan. She seems to have chosen the path of her father.
Lissy is all excited about the debut of her daughter in Kollywood. She is quite happy that her daughter had made her debut with such a brilliant crew of Vikram, Anand Shankr, Nayan Thara etc. Kalyani had completed her studies in New York and came back here to be a part of the film industry. She has chosen Kollywood, as she was born and brought up in Chennai. It was Lissy who had announced through her Facebook page, about the debut of her daughter in Kollywood.
It is very interesting that Priyadarshan movie Oppam is also a September release and there may be a clash between Iru Mugan and Oppam at Kerala box office this year.
