There is a rumor spreading in social media that veteran Director Kamal had come out against the super stars in our Malayalam film industry in a recent interview of his to a popular television channel. The news says that he was in an all-out criticism mood against the Super Star trio of Mohanlal, Mammootty and Suresh Gopi. Kamal’s last film Utopiayile Rajavu was with Mammootty in the lead which was bombed at box office. Kamal also came out against the film Premam and its director Alphons Puthran sometime back telling that the film misleading children and youngsters in our society. People like director Fazil had hit out against Kamal for this as well just after that.
According to the news spreading Kamal said that Mammootty and Mohanlal tries only to cater the needs of their fans and Suresh Gopi’s political behavior will cost him. Kamal said in that interview that Mammootty and Mohanlal wants to play characters in the age limit of 35-40 only and they says that their fans wants that. Kamal calls them the puppets in the hands of fans. About Suresh Gopi, Kamal said that his political views will definitely do harm to him more than anything good and it can really affect his career in the worst possible way.
As per the news Kamal said that when he went to Mammootty to tell a story recently the first thing he asked was about the age of his character. He says that Mammootty wants to do characters below the age 40 and he says his fans would like to see him like that. He also interfere in the script to make changes according to the needs of his fans. He wants to do films for his fans and according to their taste. Kamal says that Mohanlal too wants to play the characters less than age 40. Kamal says that if these talented actors goes like this then good films will not happen here.
Kamal said that political view is a necessary one and there is no problem in that. Actor Murali was a great example of that. But Suresh Gopi was not like that. He is changing his views according to his will each time and that will cause problems for him.
