Kerala State Award winner Indrans roped in for a crucial role in Vikram’s Mahavir Karna
It is already known that Vikram will be playing the mythological character Karna in the upcoming biggie ‘Mahavir Karna’, to be directed by RS Vimal. Pre-production works for the movie is currently going on in full swing. It is slated go on floors this coming October in Hyderabad and is expected to hit screens by December 2019.
Latest buzz is that the makers have roped in this year’s Kerala State Award winner Indrans for a crucial role in the movie. Of late, Indrans has mostly been part of movies that offer him scope for performance. Bagging a role in such a prestigious project like Mahavir Karna is the result of the veteran’s years of hardwork and perseverance.
According to the makers, Mahavir Karna has been planned to be made on an estimated budget of Rs 300 crores. The movie will be shot simultaneously in Hindi and Tamil. It will also be released in all other major languages. Since it is a mythological-fantasy film, it will be appealing to an universal audience. A New York based production house United Film Kingdom is backing this mega project.
Vikram, well known for the efforts he puts in to play a character, will be undergoing another strenuous physical transformation for the role of Karna. Reportedly, he has allotted four months for shoot and three months for his preparations. He has already started working out and will be trained by international action choreographers abroad for the war sequences in the film.
Besides Vikram, the movie will also have other leading stars from industries across the country. Director RS Vimal also revealed that they have roped in a prominent Hollywood actor to play the role of Bhima. Several leading technicians across the globe will be associated in this movie. Hyderabad, Jaipur and Canada have been finalized as the major locations.
