Lal to script his son Jean Paul’s next after Driving Licence
Jean Paul Lal aka Lal Jr is currently on a high after the success of his latest release ‘Driving Licence’. The film has Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the leads. Despite competing with a handful of films, ‘Driving Licence’ has emerged as the clear winner at the Kerala box office.
Jean is now set to start works on his next film. Titled as ‘Tsunami’, the film is scripted by his father, the veteran actor-filmmaker Lal. Jean shared the title poster recently on his official Instagram handle. Along with the poster, it is written that the film is based on a true story. Details regarding the cast and crew have not yet been revealed. Allan Antony is presenting the film under a banner named Panda Dad Production.
Jean made his directorial debut with the youthful, fun entertainer ‘Honey Bee’. He later followed it up with ‘Hi, I’m Tony’, an unconventional dark thriller that failed to click among the Malayali audience. It will be interesting to see what genre the director will be trying next.
