Loham earning crores of profit in box office

Mohanlal starrer flick which was written and directed by Ranjith and financed by Antony Perumbavoor under the popular banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, named Loham was released yesterday and opened to a mixed bag of response from the audience but mostly receiving positive and above average reviews from the common audience. Critics are also giving an average status for the film. But in box office it was going great guns and doing unbelievably well and from its first day itself it had started to break collection records in Kerala box office and setting new ones in their places.

The official reports says that the flick had already earned crores of profits from earning even before the release of the film. As per reports the total budget of the film is around 6 crore rupees and including print and publicity it is around 6.5 crores. The satellite right of the film is bought by Asianet Channel for a whopping rate above 6+ crores and created place just below Drishyam which has got a record breaking 6.5 crore rupees from the Satellite right. It has also earned 3.7 crore as advance from theaters as every theaters want to show Loham on its release day as they are sure about getting their money back from very limited time whatever may be the response. Mohanlal’s star value is their trust. Advance booking status of the film had also shown that and their trust had paid off as well.

From the very first day the film has provided enough and more than enough for every screens showing it and now everything will be a bonus for them. Loham had collected more than 3 crore on its first day and as per sources nearly 3.5 crore rupees from all over India and 2.20 crore from the screens of Kerala alone. That is an all-time opening day record in Mollywood and it is a record collection any single movie has in Mollywood as well.

The previous best was Casanovva which had earned rupees 2.16 crore from its opening day collections. One crore share from its first day also is a record created by Loham yesterday and now you may all know why Mohanlal is been called the Box Office Emperor of Mollywood.
