Mammootty to release the trailer of Tovino’s Theevandi
Tovino Thomas starrer Theevandi is gearing up to hit screens on June 29. Official trailer of the movie will be released tomorrow (June 23) morning at 10 AM by megastar Mammootty through his official social media handle. The movie marks the directorial debut of TP Fellini. August Cinema, one of the leading banners in Malayalam film industry, is funding this movie.
Vini Viswa Lal has scripted Theevandi as a political satire. Tovino plays the role of a lazy unemployed youngster named Bineesh Damodaran. From the title and promos, we can make out that Bineesh is a chain smoker. Samyukhtha Menon, who essays the role of Devi, a government employee, is paired with Tovino.
A romantic song ‘Jeevamshamayi’ featuring the lead pair has become a sensational hit. The song video recently clocked a staggering one crore views in YouTube. Numerous covers and versions of the song have already been. The track becoming such a big hit has helped in publicizing the movie among the general audience.
Theevandi’s supporting cast includes Suraj Venjaramoodu, Saiju Kurup, Shammi Thilakan, Surabhi Lakshmi, Neena Kurup and Sudheesh. Kailas Menon composes the music and cinematography is done by Gautham Sankar. Appu Bhattadhari is handling the edits.
