Mammootty’s Kaatalan Porinju will be a mass action film!
Recently, we had reported about ‘Oru Mexican Aparatha’ fame Tom Emmatty teaming up with Megastar Mammootty. The movie titled as ‘Kaatalan Porinju’ is based on a real life person. Apparently, Mammootty is highly impressed with the character and has given his nod for the project.
Director Tom Emmatty is busy with the scripting at present, so it is not yet known when the movie will actually go on floors. Kaatalan Porinju is a real life person who was well known in the Thrissur region in the 80s. It is after a long gap that Mammootty will be playing a real life character.
As per the director, Kaatalan Porinju, the real person was a larger than life character and some of the incidents in his life were stranger than fiction. Unlike the director’s debut film Oru Mexican Aparatha, which was a campus based political thriller, this one will be a mass action flick shot in and around the Thrissur city and market.
Tom Emmatty is currently doing some research works to know more about Kaatalan Porinju and his eventful life. Meanwhile, Mammootty is presently shooting for Shaji Padoor’s Abrahaminte Santhathikal: A Cop Story. He also has Sethu’s Oru Kuttanadan Blog, Amal Neerad’s Bilal, Maamaankam, Kunjali Marakkar IV and Basil Thomas’ next in the pipeline.
