Meter Gauge 1904: Prithviraj’s next is also based on real-life events
Prithviraj is the go to man for Malayali filmmakers to do real life characters. He has proven his incredible ability to portray such characters with his performance in movies like Celluloid and Ennu Ninte Moideen. His next release Vimaanam is also inspired from a real life person, Saji Thomas who built an aircraft on his own.
Vimmanam directed by debutant Pradeep M Nair is gearing up to hit screens this coming Christmas season. Recently, Prithviraj had announced that he will be teaming up with Pradeep once again post Vimaanam. The movie titled as Meter Gauge 1904 is also based on some real life events.
The movie is about the first meter gauge railway service of Travancore. Prithviraj while announcing the project through his Facebook page said that he will be playing the role of Kuruvila, an engineer who was one of the pillars of the construction of the famous Kollam-Shenkottai meter gauge.
The movie will be a historic fiction which comprise of real life events and historic elements as well. The movie demands a lot research and preparations as it is being planned on a big scale. The pre-production works for this ambitious film is expected to commence soon after the release of Vimaanam.
