Mohanlal to play Metro Man E Sreedharan!
In June last year, the dream project of Kerala state – Kochi Metro was and opened to the services of the public. A Malayalam movie, based on the metro project, was announced on the inaguration day itself. Titled as Arabi Kadalinte Rani – The Metro Woman, the movie has Rima Kallingal playing the female lead. M Padmakumar is directing this movie, scripted jointly by Suresh Babu and MU Pradeep.
Kochi Metro’s top advisor E Sreedharan is popularly known as ‘Metro Man’. This upcoming movie is about a woman’s admiration for the metro man, who is named as E Madhavan, and her attempts to meet him. Rima Kallingal is playing the protagonist’s role of PK Lalitha, a sales girl who hails from Tripunithura. The makers had then announced that a big star would be playing the role of Metro Man.
As per latest reports, none other than superstar Mohanlal would be appearing as Metro Man in this movie. If it turns out to be true, this will be his fourth cameo appearance this year. He has already committed for brief roles in movies like Bilathikadha, Kayamkulam Kochunni and Vaarikuzhiyile Kolapathakam. Mohanlal’s presence will certainly prove to be a huge booster for all these movies.
Arabi Kadalinte Rani – The Metro Woman also stars Anoop Menon, Alencier Ley Lopez, Arun Narayan, Santhosh Keezhattoor, Srinda Arhaan and Sheelu Abraham in supporting roles. Veteran Madhu Neelakandan is the cinematographer and Vinod Sukumaran will be handling the edits. The movie is being produced under the banner of VJ Films International.
