Many people warned Mohanlal about Pulimurugan : Udhayakrishna
Pulimurugan is the current sensation and the talk everywhere in Kerala. The is running successfully in all theatres with packed audience.
But behind this huge success, there is the hardwork and dedication of many people. One among them is man who sketched this hunter, Murugan who fights tigers in the wild.
Scriptwriter Udhayakrishna worked for 2 years for this movie and he recently shared some of his experiences while working for Pulimurugan.
Udhayakrishna has said that many people within the industry had asked Mohanlal and himself to abandon this project. Finally he and director Vysakh had to convince Mohanlal about the scale of the movie and once he said okay then everything happened smoothly.
He also thanked Antony Perumbavoor and producer Tomichan Mulakupadam for supporting them firmly and believing in their work. Another big contributor to the success of the movie was Peter Hein.

The action choreographer had to drop some projects to commit Pulimurugan. Udhayakrishna said that, Peter Hein was very excited about the movie as he had not worked in a animal fight till then.
The scriptwriter also urged youngsters to do mass movies because only those kind of movies can increase their stardom. Only When stardom and popularity comes big budget movies will happen. With that theatres can run with packed audiences and will naturally enhance the growth of the industry on a whole.
He also added that he does not believe in going by trends but instead wants to break the trend and create new ones.
Udhayakrishna also revealed that the character of Pulimurugan was inspired from the stories of many real life hunters he had heard in his childhood.
With Pulimurugan becoming such a massive success Udhayakrishna has proved that there is still room for mass action entertainers and how such movies can create waves in the box office.
