Naam sends out a good message about the value of friendship: Director Joshy Thomas Pallickal
Debutant Joshy Thomas Pallickal’s Naam is all set to hit screens this coming Friday (May 11). Naam is the latest entrant to the slew of campus films that has been releasing of late in Malayalam cinema. But the director clarifies that Naam is unlike other campus flicks which are mostly centred around politics and romance. The director himself has penned the story for the movie based on his real life experiences.
Naam is basically the story of nine friends and the movie sends a good message about the value of friendship. Recently, the censor board officials watched the movie and appreciated the makers for the goodness element in it.
Naam stars Shabareesh Varma, Rahul Madhav, Aditi Ravi, Tony Luke, Noby Markose, Niranj Suresh, Sonu Sebastian, Ajay Mathew and Mareena Michael in major roles. Director Gautham Vasudev Menon, Tovino Thomas and Vineeth Sreenivasan appear in cameo roles. Around 140 newcomers are also part of the movie’s supporting cast.
Shabareesh Varma, apart from playing one of the leads, has also penned eight songs in the movie. The songs and trailer has already got good response from the viewers in social medias. Naam is produced by the director’s own banner JTP Films.
