Premam should have been awarded in Kerala State Film Awards, says AR Murugados
Kerala State Film awards had been announced yesterday and it is still making news or rather new controversies, We had heard about the controversy including Ramesh Narayan and Prithviraj, the controversy related to the best actor award given to Dulquer Salmaan etc. The latest protest against the state film awards this year had come from Tamil Nadu. Yes, popular Kollywood film director AR Murugados come out and told that the awards this time is not at all fair and the reason that made him say this is that, Premam film does not get any awards in this edition of Kerala State film awards.
The film Premam directed and written by Alphonse Puthren and starred by Nivin Pauly had made great impact in box office of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The film had ran 250 days in Tamil Nadu and in Kerala too it had find the second spot in the all-time blockbuster list of Mollywood cinema history. The film was noted for its songs and technical features like editing as well.

Many Kollywood and Mollywood film directors had praised the film after watching it. The film got appreciation from great director like Shankar from Kollywood and it is now remaking to Telugu as well. But the film not get any awards in State film awards this year and it was quite a surprise as well. Many thought that it may get the popular film award but Ennu Ninte Moideen bagged it.
AR Murugados had protested through his official Facebook page saying that “No awards for Premam.!! It’s not fair..!!..”. Let’s see how people of Kerala and film lovers here reacts to this. AR Murugados is one of the most popular and favorite Kollywood director of Malayalees as well. His films like Kaththi, Thuppakki, Ghajini etc had great number of followers here as well.
