Prithviraj to take flying classes for his new movie Vimaanam
Prithviraj Sukumaran is currently shooting in Portugal for his upcoming movie My Story directed by debutant Roshni Dinaker. Parvathy Menon is playing the female lead in this romantic movie scripted by Shankar Ramakrishnan.
The actor had earlier signed for a movie titled Vimaanam. He will be now learning the basics of flying to play a mechanic who builds an ultra-light aircraft.
Director Pradeep M Nair informed that the movie will have a few scenes that would involve Prithviraj’s character flying an aircraft. Retired fighter pilot SKJ Nair will be serving as the chief advisor for the movie.
He is a nationally known personality for his expertise in ultra-light aircrafts. Prithviraj will be taking flying lessons at SKJ Nair’s flying yard in Ambasamudram in Tamil Nadu. The team will also be shooting for a few scenes during the training.
Prithviraj is playing a youth who is a pre-degree dropout. His main aim in life is to build an aircraft that he can fly. The film will have a debutante playing the female protagonist.
The movie also has is an interesting romantic track, which will have much prominence to musical tracks. Gopi Sunder has finished composing the music for the movie.
As per the director, Vimaanam will go on floors by January 20, once the actor finishes his Portugal schedule of My Story.
He will be returning back to the country by mid- December after which he is expected to join the sets of Tiyaan. After that, Prithviraj will join the team of Vimaanam.
