Prithviraj’s Ranam – Detroit Crossing will be a realistic action movie!
The recently released sneak peak video from Prithviraj’s upcoming movie Ranam – Detroit Crossing has got tremendous response from the viewers. The movie to bring back the action hero in Prithviraj. Directed by debutant Nirmal Sahadev, Ranam is a crime drime set entirely in the US. Rahman and Isha Talwar are playing major roles in the movie.
Director Nirmal is a former associate of Shyamaprasad. He is also one of the scriptwriters of the recently released Nivin Pauly starrer Hey Jude. In a recent interview, he informed that Ranam will be a realistic action film with an intense mood throughout. The movie will have some high voltage action scenes and the sneak peak video has given an idea of what’s in store. The director added that they have gone for a realistic approach as the script demanded it. So, the usual rope fights will not be there in Ranam.
Christopher Brunetti, a renowned stuntman who has worked in many English movies, has choreographed the stunts in Ranam. The movie explores the lives of the immigrant community in Detroit, Michigan. Prithviraj plays a Tamil street gang member in the movie, which is said to be inspired by real life incidents.
Cinematography is handled by Jigme Tenzing. ‘Dhuruvangal 16’ fame Jakes Bejoy is composing the music and Sreejith Sarang is in charge of the edits. It is being produced by Anand Kumar Payyanur, Rani and Lawson Biju under the banners of Yes Cinema Company and Lawson Entertainment. Reportedly, the makers are planning to release the movie in March.
