Now it is the season of announcing various awards including the national award for the films released in 2014. We are now hearing various reports coming from the national award committee and there are many permutations and combinations are going on regarding who could be the best actor or actress, best director or best film etc. In between all of these another award in mollywood just announced yesterday and it is given away by the Producers association of Kerala based on the merits and performances of the films released in last year in mollywood.
According to the jury of producers association the best actor award goes to Dulquer Salmaan for his performance in the Ranjith directorial film period film named Njan and Fahad Fazil for his performance in the Amal Neerad directorial period film named Iyyobinte Pusthakam. Both will share the award this time. The best actress award this time goes to Nazriya Nazim for her performances in Anjali Menon directorial film named Bangalore Days and Jude Antony Joseph directorial film named Om Shanti Oshana which was Jude Antony’s debut. It will be a happy time for the Fazil family as Fahad and his wife Nazriya got the awards for best and actress respectively and it is a proud moment for both husband and wife.
Manju Warrier will get special jury award for her performance in Roshen Andrews film named How Old Are You and Anjali Menon too will receive special jury award for her direction skills in Bangalore Days. Njan directed by master director Renjith is chosen as the best film of the year 2014 and Bobby-Sanjay duo will get the award for best screenplay for their work in How Old Are You conceived by Roshen Andrews. Actor Anoop Menon will get the award for best in a supporting role for taking into account of his performances in the films such as 1983 by Abrid Shine and Vikramadithyan by La Jose.
At the same time Parvathy will get the award for best actress in a supporting role for her memorable performance in Bangalore Days. Best new face of the year 2014 is Nikky Galrani for her performance in films like 1983 and Vellimoonga and she will receive an award for that. Vineeth Sreenivasan is chosen as the best male playback singer and Shreya Ghosahl is chosen as the best female playback singer of last year.
