If you ask us which is the most awaited movie which is coming to grace the silver screen all over Kerala in the near future then our reply will be one name. Yes, it’s Puli Murugan, the big budget Mohanlal film which is being conceived by hit maker Vysakh and written by Udayakrishna who has written many commercial super success with his writing partner Sibi K Thomas. This is Vyasakh’s first film with the universal star Mohanlal and this also happened to be the first film of which Udaya Krishna writing the script independently.
The flick has been already in the news for its big budget set up, its star cast, its crew details and also due to its mass title. But the latest reports coming about the film says that Puli Murugan is all set for the biggest ever release in Kerala which Malayalam cinema has ever saw in its history. It was Mohanlal’s film Casanovva which hold that record for record number of screens in Kerala with 202 screens when it was released in 2012.
Now another Mohanlal film is getting ready to break his own record which is a usual thing here in Mollywood. Mohanlal films are the usual ones which creates collection records and all sorts of commercially based records here at Mollywood and usually he is the one who breaks it with his other films as well. Recently his film Loham broke the record of highest first day collection for a Malayalam film in Kerala. And it had broke his own Casanovva’s record which was set in 2012.
Puli Murugan which said to be a mass entertainer as well as telling a realistic story involving both human and animal emotion has a great team behind the film. The action sequences in the film which will be its highlight is choreographed by none other the man behind the epic action of Baahubali, Mr. Peter Hein. The flick has more than 60 prominent artists as per reports and the filming is going on in the dense forests at complete secrecy.
Puli Murugan which is financed by Tomichan Mulakupadam under the banner of Mulakupadam Release will be distributed by Mohanlal’s own Aashirvad Cinemas through Maxlab. It may grace the screens on this December or in the coming January.
