Pulimurugan nearing 175 days in Kozhikode and Ernakulam
Malayalam cinema’s biggest blockbuster, Pulimurugan hogged the limelight for a good part of the last six months. The movie, released on October 7, was a product of unprecedented hype. This Vysakh directorial had a one of it’s kind opening for Malayalam and soon went on a record breaking spree.
Pulimurugan lived up to all the sky high expectations and shattered every single pre existing box office record in Mollywood. It became the first Malayalam movie to cross the 100 crore mark and registered a worldwide business of over the 150 crores.
The movie is still running in some theatres in Kerala. In Calicut Film City and Eranakulam Cinepolis, the movie is nearing it’s 175th day of theatrical run. Audience, irrespective of the age groups, thronged to the theatres to watch Mohanlal in all his glory on big screen. His name pulled the audience multiple times to theatres.
