Pulimurugan roaring its way to the 100 crore mark
Mohanlal starrer Pulimurugan has now entered the prestigious 50 crore club of Mollywood. Official collection report about the collections have been released and it says that the film has collected 40 crores from Kerala in just 14 days. It has also grossed around 12 crores from the rest of India market.
Thus altogether, the gross of Pulimurugan from its all India run is around 52 crores in jsut 14 days time. This is a new history in Malayalam Cinema and who better than Mohanlal to create history.
Earlier this week, Mohanlal’s Onam release Oppam became was the fastest Malayalam movie to collect 50 crores. The movie took 38 days to collect the 50 crores.
It is remarkable that Pulimurugan has taken only 14 days to achieve this landmark. It clearly show the authority Mohanlal is stamping in the box office.
Literally Mohanlal has been breaking his own records and creating new ones. Trade experts confirm that Pulimurugan has the potential to become the biggest Malayalam blockbuster ever.
Talks are also rife about Pulimurugan crossing the 100 crore mark. If it happens, this action packed entertainer directed by Vysakh will be the first Malayalam movie ever to touch the coveted mark.
If the movie can continues its dream run for two more weeks, the hundred crore mark is easily achievable. Let’s wait and watch.
