Radhe Shyam fetches second biggest post-release OTT deal after RRR
Prabhas-Pooja Hegde starrer ‘Radhe Shyam’ is in the final stages of shoot. The film directed by Radha Krishna Kumar is a period love story set in an European backdrop. The makers had resumed the last leg of the shooting recently in Hyderabad. Meanwhile, the film’s OTT rights has been acquired by top players for an exorbitant price. Netflix has acquired the rights for the Hindi version while Zee 5 has bagged the rights for the other languages. Zee Network has also got the satellite rights for all languages. This is said to be the second biggest post-release deal in Indian cinema after ‘RRR’.
‘RRR’ deal is said to have fetched a whopping Rs 325 crores but the makers are yet to confirm it. Zee5 will be streaming the Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada versions. Netflix will be streaming the Hindi, English, Portugese, Korean, Turkish and Spanish versions. Its satellite partners include Star Maa (Telugu), Star Vijay (Tamil), Zee Cinema (Hindi), Asianet (Malayalam) and Star Suvarna (Kannada).
