Renowned Malayalam Film Director Siddique Passes Away.

Malayalam cinema has lost a luminary today, as the beloved director Siddique, a stalwart in the industry, has breathed his last. With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Siddique, a prominent figure who carved a distinguished niche for himself in the world of Malayalam filmmaking.

Siddique, acclaimed for his exceptional directorial prowess, bid farewell to the mortal world today. The news of his demise comes after his hospitalization at Kochi Amrita Hospital due to cardiac failure. Despite the tireless efforts of a team of skilled medical professionals, Siddique succumbed to a severe heart attack. He valiantly battled for his life while being on life support, but fate had a different plan.

At the age of 63, Siddique’s departure has left an irreplaceable void in the realm of Malayalam Cinema. His unparalleled contributions and creative genius have been an integral part of the industry’s tapestry. Battling pneumonia and subsequent liver ailments, Siddique’s cardiac failure occurred during his recovery process from the aforementioned illnesses.

Siddique’s cinematic journey began in 1989 when he marked his debut alongside director partner Lal, crafting the blockbuster hit “Ramji Rao Speaking.” This dynamic duo continued to enthrall audiences with timeless classics such as “In Harihar Nagar,” “Godfather,” “Vietnam Colony,” “Kabooliwala,” and “Hitler.” Eventually, their paths diverged, leading Siddique to helm cinematic gems like “Friends,” “Chronic Bachelor,” “Bodyguard” etc.

Before making his mark in the film industry, Siddique honed his skills as a mimicry artist, eventually transitioning into the realm of cinema through his collaboration with the renowned director Fazil. Siddique’s multifaceted talents extended beyond directing, as he also penned captivating screenplays and narratives that enriched the plots of numerous cherished Malayalam films.
