Screenplay written by Anjali Menon for Love in Anjengo was poor, says Pratap Pothen
We had already reported that Love in Anjengo, the last year announced Dulquer Salmaan-Pratap Pothen movie has been shelved. At first the reason for that was unknown as too many rumors are doing its round in social media related to that. But, Pratap Pothen himself revealed the reason during a Facebook interaction that he wants to enjoy the process of film making and if a genius had written crap, he don’t want to be a part of that.
Anjali Menon the writer/director who had given us movies like Manjadikkuru and Bangalore days was roped in to write the screenplay for this movie and Pratap Pothen says that her screenplay for Love in Anjengo was poor. That is why he walked out from the project.

He said that if he does a movie based on a screenplay which was not convincing to him, it will put more pressure on him and during that process he will lose the enjoyment and excitement of Film Making. He is doing cinema to enjoy that process and not for money.
Earlier Global United Media was the producer of this movie and later Pratap Pothen himself got ready to produce it under the banner of Supriya Films. Ilaya Raja said to be the music director of the movie and Rajeev Menon was roped in to crank the camera. Dhansika, the Kabali girl was said to be playing the female lead in this movie in which Kollywood Actor Madhavan also roped in to play a cameo.
