SJ Suryah Opts Out of Dulquer Salmaan’s ‘DQ40’; Mysskin Joins the Cast

Dulquer Salmaan’s much-anticipated 40th film, tentatively titled DQ40, is set to commence filming in March 2025. However, the project has witnessed a major casting change as Tamil actor SJ Suryah has opted out due to date conflicts. Acclaimed director-turned-actor Mysskin has now been roped in to replace him, adding a fresh dynamic to the film.

Directed by RDX fame Nahas Hidayath, DQ40 is touted to be an action-packed entertainer infused with sci-fi elements. Produced by Dulquer’s Wayfarer Films in association with Vyjayanthi Movies, the film boasts a stellar cast, including Antony Varghese (Pepe), Priyanka Mohan, Rukmini Vasanth, Lal, and Baiju Santhosh.

The technical team features top industry names, with Jimshi Khalid handling cinematography and Ajayan Chalissery leading production design. Jakes Bejoy will compose the music, while Chaman Chakko is expected to take charge of editing. AnbAriv masters, known for their high-octane action choreography, are on board to elevate the film’s stunts.

With Mysskin’s inclusion and a power-packed ensemble, DQ40 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting films in Dulquer’s career. More updates, including the official title and first look, are eagerly awaited.
