Special fans show in Tamil Nadu for Peranbu
After a wait that lasted for over two long years, Mammootty starrer Peranbu is finally ready for its theatrical release. The movie is hitting screens worldwide on February 1. Fans are highly excited about the movie after the unanimously positive reviews it got from the festival screenings. The Tamil Nadu of Mammootty fans association are conducting a special show for the movie in Chennai. The State’s Rural Development Minister SP Velumani inaugurated the distribution of tickets.
Meanwhile, a special screening of Peranbu is being held today evening at PVR Audi 1, Kochi. Prominent celebrities and journalists are attending the premiere show. A launch event has also been planned at Lulu Mall. Peranbu grabbed attention after the unanimously positive response it got from various international film festivals. The movie was screened at Rotterdam international film festival (IFFR) and Shanghai film festival. Its Indian premiere was held at the International Film Festival of India, Goa (IFFI).
Written and directed by Ram, Peranbu tells the story of an affectionate father and his mentally challenged girl child. Mammootty and ‘Thanga Meengal’ fame Sadhana play the lead roles. The movie also stars Anjali, Samuthirakani, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Anjali Ameer in major roles. It is produced by PL Thennappan under the banner of Sri Rajalakshmi Films.
