Streaming rights of Mammootty’s One bagged by Netflix?
Mammootty’s ‘One’ was among the most anticipated films of the year. It was supposed to release in April during the Vishu season but due to the pandemic, there is certainty regarding the release. Meanwhile it is reported that Netflix has bagged the film’s streaming rights. However, it is heard that it will not a direct OTT release. An official word is still awaited. Notably, the makers have not yet completed the shoot. An important sequence involving Mammootty and a huge crowd still remains to be shot.
‘Chirakodinja Kinavukal’ Santhosh Viswanath is directing ‘One’ that has Mammootty essaying the lead role of Kerala Chief Minister Kadakkal Chandran. Bobby and Sanjay have scripted the film. The fact Mammootty he is doing a full-fledged political film after a very long gap in Malayalam and add to that, his first time collaboration with Bobby-Sanjay duo had heightened the expectations.
‘One’ is a big-scale film with a huge supporting cast. Joju George, Murali Gopy, Nimisha Sajayan, Sudev Nair, Suresh Krishna, Shanker Ramakrishnan, Alencier Ley, Mammukoya, Siddique, Balachandra Menon, Salim Kumar, Madhu, Ranjith, Mathew Thomas, Ishaani Krishna, Gayathri Arun, Jayan Cherthala, Balaji Sharma and many others are part of the film.
