Syam Pushkaran and Dileesh Pothan to team up for a cop flick?
The successful trio of Syam Pushkaran, Dileesh Pothan and Fahadh Faasil are set to team up once again. As per our sources within the industry, they are planning to make a cop flick inspired from a real life policeman’s service story. Scripting and other pre-production works are currently underway and we can expect an official announcement shortly.
The three had earlier teamed up for ‘Maheshinte Prathikaram’, ‘Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum’ and ‘Kumbalangi Nights’, though their roles were different in each film. ‘Maheshinte..’ had Fahadh Fassil in the lead with Syam Pushkaran scripting it and Dileesh Pothan calling the shot. In ‘Thondimuthal’, Syam was the dialogue writer and creative director. ‘Kumbalangi Nights’ had the trio coming together for the first time for production. Syam was also the scriptwriter and Fahadh played one of the major roles in the film.
Expectations for their upcoming film will be sky-high as their previous works have all been highly acclaimed. ‘Maheshinte Prathikaram’ and ‘Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum’ won multiple awards at the National level. ‘Kumbalangi Nights’ is also expected to sweep several awards next year.
Their new film is most likely to begin by the second half of this year. Fahadh’s father, veteran director Fazil, is said to be producing the movie.
