We have to take a signed document of trust from the ones who come to ask vote, says Joy Mathew
The assembly elections has been declared and it will be on May 16 in Kerala. The election campaigns are already begun and candidates started their election work by meeting common people and asking for their support through their votes. They are giving many promises for luring us in to giving vote to them and the thing is that this is an age old practice. Often they gives us promises to bag our votes and later after their victory, most of them forget all those promises. Now actor Joy Mathew posted in his Facebook page that this time we have to take a signed document of trust from the candidates who comes to us asking for votes.
Joy Mathew says that usually they gives us promises and later runs away from all that after they get what they need from us. But this time we have to make it in a different way. We all have to write down what we want as a common man in our society and what issues we want to sort out in the society in which we are living. Then ask the candidate who comes asking for votes to sign on that paper in which we wrote down what we want.
We are giving votes to them for representing our voice and solving our problems. So it is we who decides what are those problems which have to be sorted out and which issues have to be given the top priority. If that candidate ready to sign it, then only we have to vote for than man/woman. Joy Mathew says Democracy mean what we wants not what they wants. That is the way it have to work.
The problems regarding the scarcity of drinking water, Street dog issue, the disposal of waste materials, clean food and its distribution, package to rejuvenate agriculture and farmers, the problems related to medical field and the increasing interference of private sector in to the medical and education field are the main problems we are facing now according to joy Mathew.
