Telugu super star Pawan Kalyan and Malayalam super star Mohanlal to team up?
According to the latest buzz, South India’s two of the biggest superstars Pawan Kalyan and Mohanlal are teaming up for an upcoming movie. Popular director Trivikram Srinivas is reportedly helming this yet to be titled project.
It is heard that noted director, Trivikram Srinivas has sketched a powerful character keeping Mohanlal in mind. Currently, the movie is in the initial stages and the makers are waiting for a confirmation from Mohanlal’s side.
Of late, Mohanlal has been showing a lot of interest in doing movies from other industries also. It all started with the Kollywood super hit movie Jilla in 2014 where he teamed up Ilayathalapathy Vijay.
Earlier this year he acted in two Telugu movies – Vismayam and Janatha Garage, in which the latter had him playing a the lead role alongside Jr NTR.
Janatha Garage was a massive blockbuster entering the 100 crore club. The movie directed by Kortala Siva is the highest grossing Telugu movie for the year 2016. His recent blockbuster Pulimurugan, another 100 crore club movie, was dubbed and released in Telugu as Manyam Puli.
Another blockbuster movie of Mohanlal, Oppam is also being dubbed and released in Telugu as Kanupapa. The movie is scheduled to release on December 30.
The Pawan Kalyan – Trivikram Srinivas movie is set to go on floors from January next year. The movie will be produced by Radhakrishna under the banner of Harika and Hassine Creations whereas the music will be scored by young sensation Anirudh.
It will be amazing to watch two of the superstars of South Indian cinema sharing screen space with each other. Frequent collaborations between stars from various industries is a very good indication of expanding the market doing away with the language barrier.
