Villain trailer to be screened along with the Onam releases
Mohanlal’s Villain has been in the making for sometime now. Earlier, there were reports about the movie releasing for Onam but the makers had denied that. Shoot was completed two months back itself and the team is currently busy with the post production works.
Last day, director B Unnikrishnan took to his Facebook page to inform that the movie’s much awaited trailer will be screened along with the Onam releases in theatres. Mohanlal recently completed the remaining dubbing portions and will soon head to Bhutan for a short vacation before joining the Odiyan team in Varanasi.
There is a huge hype surrounding Villain as the movie boasts of some names from various film industries.
Vishal, Hansika, Srikanth, Raashi Khanna and Manju Warrier are playing prominent roles in the movie. The makers are eyeing to release the movie in 3 languages simultaneously. Presumably, the movie will be released in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu languages.
Villain is a crime thriller in which Mohanlal will be seen as Mathew Manjooran, a police officer. Manju Warrier is playing his wife’s role in the movie. This movie funded by Rockline Films is said to be the first Indian movie to be shot completely and released in 8K resolution.
Villain’s songs are composed by Oppam fame 4 Musics and background score is handled by Ezra fame Sushin Shyam. Manoj Paramahamsa and NK Ekambaram have wielded the camera. Shameer Mohammed of Charlie and Angamaly Diaries fame is in charge of the editing department. The movie is expected to hit screens during the Pooja holidays.
