Will Dangal enter the 1000 crore club?

Aamir Khan is making history again with his latest release Dangal. Ever since it’s release on December 23, the movie has been doing great business both in the domestic market as well as the overseas market.

The movie has now collected a total of Rs 295.14 crores from the Indian market. Now it is just a matter of few days before Dangal takes over Salman Khan’s Sultan as the biggest hit of 2016. Sultan had a collection of Rs 570 crores gross worldwide.

Dangal is well within the reach of PK, which currently holds the record for the highest grossing Indian film ever with whopping collections of Rs 725 crores. Within the coming few weeks Dangal will certainly dethrone PK from the spot. However, the one question that everyone is asking is whether Dangal can enter the 1000 crore club. The movie can touch the four figure mark if the current trend continues. Also, there is no big release till January 25. Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil are releasing in the 25-26 window. So Dangal will have to continue its glorious run without any dip in the audience count in the coming weeks to enter the 1000 crore club.
