Kerala Box Office : Kattappanayile Hrithik Roshan Collection Report 3 Days

Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan aka  Kattappanayile Hrithik Roshan directed by Nadirshah was released last Friday. The movie was opened to good response from the audience especially the families.

Even though the movie did not have any big names in its star cast, Kattappanayile Hrithik Roshan was welcomed by the families as a perfect entertainer thanks to director Nadirshah’s expertise in comedy.

According to trade sources, the movie has collected 3.45 crores from its 3 day theatrical run. There is a conspicuous dip in the audience count in most theatres due to the demonetisation of higher denomination notes by the central government. Considering that, the movie has made a good initial collection.

The movie stars Vishnu Unnikrishnan in the lead along with Dharmajan, Salim Kumar, Prayaga Martin, Lijomol Jose, Rahul Madhav, Siju Wilson, Siddique and a host of other actors.

Director Nadirshah was appreciated for sticking to his strength, humour and succeeding in entertaining the audience just like it was promised. The movie rightly served its purpose with fine performances from the actors and the numerous humorous situations that leaves the audience in splits.

Kattappanayile Hrithik Roshan was produced by actor Dileep and Dr Zachariah Thomas under the banner Nad Group and United Global Media Entertainment.

The movie is expected to continue its successful theatrical run for the coming days before the Christmas releases hit the thetares.

Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan has entered its second month of theatrical run. The movie continues to collect big from the box office without any stopping.

The movie was released in overseas regions like UAE/GCC and many European countries.

The movie was released on November 3rd in UAE and Gulf countries. Ever since the release there, the movie has been doing great numbers at the box office.

Now this action drama directed by Vysakh has officially become the highest grossing South Indian movie in UAE/GCC region.

Pulimurugan is also among the top 10 highest grossing Indian movies in the region. The list boasts of many biggies from Bollywood. Salman Khan’s Bhajrangi Bhaijaan leads the list followed by Sultan, Dilwale, Dhoom 3, Happy New Year, Bang Bang, PK, Chennai Express and Pulimurugan. Salman Khan’s Kick is in the 10th position in the list.

Apart from Pulimurugan there is no other South Indian movie in this list. This shows the kind of massive success Pulimurugan has become in these regions.

Pulimurugan is written by Udhayakrishna of the famous scriptwriter duo Udhayakrishna and Sibi K Thomas. This big budget movie was produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam under his banner Mulakupadam Films.

The film also stars Jagapathi Babu, Lal, Vinu Mohan, Kishore, Kamalini Mukherjee in other important roles.

Pulimurugan is already the highest grossing Malayalam movie ever collecting over 100 crores from the box office. The tremendous run in overseas regions suggest that the movie will have a lifetime gross of over 150 crores.

Kalidas Jayaram is making a comeback to Mollywood after 12 long years through the movie Poomaram.

He was last seen as a child actor in Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum released back in 2003. The movie won him the National award for best child actor that year.

He made his debut as a lead actor in Kollywood through the recently released Meen Kuzhambum Mann Paanaiyum. He is currently acting in the Malayalam movie Poomaram directed by Abrid Shine.

Director Faasil’s younger son Farhaan Faasil made his debut in Malayalam film industry through Njan Steve Lopez directed by Rajeev Ravi.

Farhaan played the title character Steve Lopez in the movie. The movie was critically appreciated eventhough it could not reap commercial success.

In a recent interview, Farhaan Faasil revealed that though he is currently concentrating on acting, his ultimate aim is to follow his father’s foot steps and become a director.

Farhaan said that someday he would like to remake his father’s movie Manathe Vellitheru. The movie starring Mukesh, Shobhana, Vineeth and Sreenivasan was a failure in the box office. He added that it is one of his favourite movies and would like to remake it with the new filmmaking styles.

The actor is now playing the lead role in Basheerinte Premalekhanam directed by Aneesh Anwar. The director has made critically acclaimed movies like Zachachariyayude Garbhinikal and Kumbasaram. Sana Althaf is playing the female lead in this romantic entertainer.

Basheerinte Premalekhanam is scheduled to release early next year.

Badai Bungalow fame Arya in Honey Bee 2

Shoot for Honey Bee 2 Celebrations, the sequel to superhit movie Honey Bee released in 2013, is already underway.

The sequel has Asif Ali, Bhavana, Baburaj, Balu Varghese, Lal and Sreenath Bhasi reprise their roles from the first part.

Veteran actor Sreenivasan, Lena, Harisree Ashokan, Chembil Ashokan, Prem Kumar, Ganapathy, Kavitha Nair, Krishna Prabha are some of the new members to the cast. Now the latest addition to the list is Badai Bungalow fame Arya Rohith.

Arya will be playing one of the close friends of the characters played by Asif Ali and Bhavana. Arya has earlier acted in movies like Kunjiramayanam and Pretham. She was last seen in the Mammootty starrer Thoppil Joppan.

Like the first part, Honey Bee 2 also promises to be a fun ride. The movie is written and directed by Jean Paul Lal aka Lal Jr. He debuted with Honey Bee and later did Hi I’m Tony again with Asif Ali and his father Lal in the lead.

Deepak Dev is composing the songs and BGM while Ratheesh Raj is the editor. Albi is cranking the camera for Honey Bee 2 Celebrations.

The sequel is produced by Lal under his banner Lal Creations. Sajin Jaffer and Anoop Venugopal are the executive producers.

Shoot for the movie is currently happening in various parts of Kochi.

Earlier there were reports about popular yesteryear actress Gautami’s daughter Subbalakshmi entering the film industry.

It was reported that Gautami was in talks with many prominent filmmakers and actors about her daughter’s debut project in the tinsel world. Some websites even reported that Subbalakshmi will make her debut opposite Dhanush in Vellai Illa Pattadhari 2 directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth which is set to go on floors by next month.

But now Gautami has put to an end to the rumours about her daughter’s entry to acting. She has made it clear that Subbalakshmi is busy with her studies currently. Only after completing it, will she decide whether to pursue her career in acting or not.

Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum to go on floors soon

Debut director Dileesh Pothen joined hands with actor Fahadh Faasil earlier this year to deliver the blockbuster Maheshinte Prathikaram.

Maheshinte Prathikaram is widely regarded as one of the best movies of 2016. The movie was both critically and commercially successful. Dileesh Pothen’s direction and Fahadh Faasil’s natural acting did wonders for the movie.
The director’s next movie was eagerly awaited after the success of Maheshinte Prathikaram.

Much to the excitement of fans, Dileesh Pothen and Fahadh Faasil decided to join again for a movie titled Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum. He had shared the title and crew details through his official Facebook page in July.
Reportedly, the film will go on floors on December 1.

The film also stars Soubin Shahir and Alencier Ley playing important roles, among others. Both Soubin and Alencier Ley were part of the director’s debut movie. Their performances in Maheshinte Prathikaram was widely appreciated.

According to reports, the movie will be a movie dealing with the story of a middle class family made on a small canvas.

As the title suggests, material evidence and eye witness have importance in the movie which also sheds light on the law and order in the society.Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum is scripted by Sajeev Pazhoor.

National award winning cinematographer/filmmaker Rajeev Ravi will be cranking the camera for this upcoming movie while Bijibal is handling the music department.The movie is produced by Sandeep Senan and Aneesh M Thomas under the banner Urvashi Theatres.
