At last the big news mollywood waited for sometimes had come today. Mollywood film lovers had eagerly waiting for the grand entry of the son of their Hero Mohanlal. Mega star Mammootty’s son Dulquer Salmaan had made his entry into mollywood two years back and he had made his mark in our industry with some notable films and very soon he became highly popular. But the real wait is for someone else.
Yes, it was the arrival of Pranav Mohanlal, who is the son of Universal star Mohanlal who has a Demi-God status among malayalees. Pranav had already acted in 3 malayalam films and also won state award for his great performance as a child artist in a film named Punarjani which was helmed by famous director Major Ravi. Later he acted in films like Onnaman which was conceived by veteran director Thampi Kannamthanam in which he played the childhood part of his father Mohanlal’s character. Then he appeared in a cameo in Amal Neerad directorial film Sagar Alias Jacky Reloaded and in this film he came in a song sequence and that too with his father Mohanlal.
People are asking frequently to Mohanlal about his son’s entry into mollywood and he always said that he will not force his son to do anything and if he had interest in films he will come and if he doesn’t have any interest in it he is free to choose what he want to be in life. But Pranav came to the film field not as an actor as everybody expected it to be.
He came to the industry as an assistant director to Jeethu Joseph and started working with him in the remake of Drishyam in Tamil titled Papanasham. Later he worked with jeethu in Malayalam film Life Of Josootty and Pranav had won the love and appreciation of everyone include Kamal Haasan, Jeethu Joseph and many people who came to see him working, with his simplicity, humble behavior, care and quick learning capacity for all these which his father is also famous.
Now the latest news is that Pranav is all set to make his debut as a director and the hero of the film will be Dulquer Salmaan who is great friend from childhood and the villain will be his father Mohanlal himself. The film will be a complete action thriller and it will be produced by a new production team named Dreaming Big Entertainments.
