Fahadh Faasil’s Joji all set for release in Amazon Prime Video; Teaser out
Fahadh Faasil’s eagerly awaited film ‘Joji’ is set to release on Amazon Prime Video. The makers have announced that it will have its world premiere on April 7. A short teaser has also been released online. The teaser gives away nothing about the plot but has a mystery feel in it. Dileesh Pothan is directing the film and it is scripted by Syam Pushkaran.
As confirmed by the makers, ‘Joji’ is inspired from Willaim Shakespeare’s famous play, ‘Macbeth’. According to them, it is an independent adaptation that is set in the modern era. Amazon has revealed plot of ‘Joji’ as given below,
Joji, an engineering dropout and the youngest son of the rich plantation family lives with his aspirations of becoming a super wealthy NRI. But his father sees down on him as a proper loser. Driven by greed and blind ambition, Joji finally decide to execute his plans following an unexpected event in the family. Will he succeed in achieving his dreams?
Baburaj, Shammi Thilakan, Basil Joseph, Unnimaya Prasad and Alister Alex play other major roles in the film. It has Shyju Khalid as the cinematographer and Kiran Das as the editor. Music is by Justin Varghese of ‘Njandukalude Naatil Oridavela’ and ‘Thaneer Mathan Dhinangal’ fame. The film is produced under the banner of Bhavana Studios.
