Poomaram is an upcoming Malayalam film starring Kalidas Jayaram in the lead.
This is Kalidas Jayaram’s first movie as a hero in Malayalam. He earlier made his debut in Kollywood as a hero through Meen Kuzhambum Mann Paanaiyum which was released 2 weeks back to mixed response.
Poomaram is a campus based movie written and directed by two film old promosing director Abrid Shine. The movie is scheduled for a February release next year.
Poomaram also stars Kunchacko Boban, Meera Jasmine, Gayathri Suresh and many other supporting actors.
The song released is a celebration song filmed in the background of a college youth festival. It is said that the movie revolves around the incidents happening during the youth festival. This song is composed and sung by Faizal Razi.
Abrid Shine’s last release Action Hero Biju starring Nivin Pauly was a huge blockbuster. The song Muthe Ponne Pinangalle from the movie was a sensation during that time and helped it to popularize the movie among the family audience. Similarly this new song is also expected to be a huge hit.
Gnanam is the cinematographer of this campus entertainer while Jith Joshie will be the editor. Jyothi Shankar is in charge of the art department. Poomaram is jointly produced by Dr Paul Varghese and Abrid Shine. Muzik 247 is the Official Music Label for this movie.
