John Jani Janardhan : Amar Akbar Anthony Kannada remake starts rolling
Amar Akbar Anthony was the directorial debut of Nadirsha which released last year in Mollywood. It had become one of the biggest blockbusters here in Mollywood. Prithviraj, Jayasurya and Indrajith played the male leads in this movie and Namitha Pramod played the female lead. As per new reports, the film will speak Kannada soon.
Reports says that the film will have an official remake to Kannada. The Kannada remake of this film is directing by director Guru Deshpande who is one of the hit makers there in Sandalwood. The film is titled as John Jani Janardhan as per reports.
Krishna Ajai Rao, Yogi and Madarangi Krishna is playing the leads in the Kannada version of Amar Akbar Anthony. The film is produced under Muthappa Rai’s banner and as per report it had already started rolling in the first week of June. The team behind the film hopes that audience there will love this fun filled multi-starrer and the popularity of male leads there will help the film as well. The director’s last outing was Rudratandava, which was a big hit there starred by Chiranjeevi Sarja. He had announced two more projects as well titled Pade Huli and Thackeray respectively.
Anyway, the team hopes that this Remake version will also become a blockbuster just like its original version in Malayalam. Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Bibin George wrote the screenplay of the film in Malayalam.
