Theri is gearing up for a 2000 screens worldwide release
The film lovers all over South India is waiting for April 14th. It is not just the Vishu day for Malayalees and Tamil New Year day for Tamilians, but it is the big day of the release of Ilaya Thalapathy starrer flick Theri directed by Raja Rani fame director Atlee. The film produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu is all set for a gigantic release worldwide and as per reports the film is going to hit 2000 screens worldwide. Vijay film always gets that much of screens and Theri repeated that as well.
In Kerala, the film will release around 200 screens and will be distributed here by Friday Film House and Carnival Motion Pictures, who jointly bought the distribution rights for 5.6 crore rupees, which is indeed a record price here in Mollywood for any other language film so far.
Amy Jackson and Samatha playing the female leads in this film and more than 40% of the film is shot in Kerala. Vijay sport 3 different get ups in this film. One character of his is a cop named Vijay Kumar and another one is named as Joseph Kuruvila. This is the first full-fledged cop role in Vijay’s career.
GV Prakash Kumar had tuned the music for this flick and the trailer, teaser etc of the film had already created records in YouTube views.
