Election campaign issue: Support increasing for Mohanlal from film industry
The latest hot topic now in Kerala is related to cinema and politics alike. Around 6 people from Malayalam film industry is contesting the upcoming assembly elections in Kerala and a new controversy had popped up related to it. Once again Mohanlal is victimized by dragging him to controversy. Mohanlal went to Pathanapuram to wish his friend Ganesh Kumar good luck as he is a candidate there representing Left Democratic Front.
But the controversy stirred up when actor Salim Kumar resigned from AMMA because he believes that Mohanlal disobeyed the decision of AMMA when he went to wish Ganesh Kumar in an election campaign. Jagadeesh and Bheeman Raghu also contesting election from the same constituency as of Ganesh Kumar and Salim Kumar says Mohanlal did not do the right thing by going there and supported Ganesh Kumar alone. But in this issue the support for Mohanlal is increasing from film industry.
AMMA president Innocent told that AMMA is not made any decisions that restrict its members from going to election campaigns or choosing their political ideologies. Innocent also said that Mohanlal is clean here as he went to wish a friend of his and his relationship with Ganesh Kumar is well-known to all. AMMA secretary Idavela Babu also said that Mohanlal has all the liberty to support whoever he wants. AMMA did not took any decision that prevents its members from going to election campaigns. Idavela Babu said that Salim Kumar not attended the meeting of AMMA association for almost 4 years and then how he can say that a decision was made there regarding this matter.
Director Kamal, Vinayan etc also supported Mohanlal in this issue as they said that Salim Kumar is purely speaking politics here. There no wrong in what Mohanlal did as he had all the freedom to express his opinion politically. Actors like Mukesh, Nedumudi Venu also supported Mohanlal in this issue as they said that AMMA not made any decision against the rights of its members to choose their political ideologies. They can support whoever they want because it is their right.
Actor and MP Suresh Gopi also said that no one can question Mohanlal’s freedom to express his opinion and his right to support political parties or candidates.
