Director B Unnikrishnan congratulates Pulimurugan team for entering the 100 crore club
Director B Unnikrishnan is known for teaming up with Mohanlal and delivering super hit movies like Grandmaster and Madambi.
When Pulimurugan was released, he was among the first few celebrities to talk highly about the movie. Through his Facebook page the director had said that Pulimurugan will become the first Malayalam movie to enter the 100 crore club.
His words became true as the movie has now officially entered the 100 crore club. B Unnikrishnan took to his Facebook page to once again congratulate the team of Pulimurugan for this massive acheivement.
He assured that Pulimurugan will collect 100 crores from Kerala Box Office alone. Pulimurugan has collected around 65 crores from the Kerala Box Office as of now. He also said that the movie will a do a business of over 150 crore worldwide.
Pulimurugan should be considered as the movie that showed the real potential of Malayalam movies in the market. He said that Pulimurugan will be a huge inspiration for other filmmakers in Mollywood to produce movies on a large scale with an universal appeal, added the director.
B Unnikrishnan also wished that the Lal magic, which is continuing even after 3 decades of Mohanlal’s entry into the industry, keeps continuing.
Pulimurugan is written by Udhayakrishna and directed by Vysakh. The movie was bankrolled by Tomichan Mulakupadam under his banner Mulakupadam films.
