AMMA asks female actors not to travel alone
In the wake of the recent attack on a popular Malayali actress, the actors union- Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) have asked female actors not to travel alone, be it during the day time or night.
They have also offered their total support to the police for the investigation to find the accused. A meeting will be held with producers and technical members association FEFKA, to ensure the safety of the actors. AMMA has also proposed that hereafter, only those who clear the police verification can join the industry.
Several online medias reported about the involvement of a popular actor behind the attack. This triggered widespread discussions about the relationship between criminals and top stars. Even some insiders have admitted that Malayalam film industry is currently in the hands of real estate mafia and dreaded criminals. All the associations will now try to amend their alleged criminal activities and ensure a smooth functioning of the entertainment industry.
