Mohanlal’s much awaited war drama 1971 Beyond Borders is finally hitting screens tomorrow. The movie is releasing in around 405 centres all over India, which is the biggest ever for a Malayalam movie.
1971 Beyond Borders, directed by Major Ravi is the fourth in the Major Mahadevan series and his fifth with Mohanlal. The movie will be releasing tomorrow amid huge expectations. Though the hype was very minimal during the initial stages, it gradually heightened while nearing the release date.
Mammootty’s The Great Father recently surpassed Pulimurugan to become the highest first day grosser in Mollywood. So, Mohanlal fans will be itching to own back the record. Social medias are abuzz with discussions about the Mohanlal starrer’s chances of outperforming The Great Father.
Mohanlal is riding on a string of blockbusters, a hat-trick of 50 crore grossers to be precise. Considering the kind of rich form Mohanlal is in, 1971 Beyond Borders is also expected to have a massive opening. The actor will be seen in dual roles in the movie as Mahadevan and his father Sahadevan. The film is based on the 1971 Indo-Pak war and the latter is an army man who fought for the country during the war period.
1971 Beyond Borders, is a big budget movie produced by Haneef Muhammed under the banner Red Rose Creations. The movie features a stellar star cast. Telugu actor Allu Sirish, Arunoday Singh, Srushti Dange, Priyanka Agarwal and Zoya Zayed Khan and many other actors will be seen in supporting roles.
Sujith Vassudev has handled the cinematography. Songs in the movie are composed by three music directors— Najim Arshad, Siddharth Vipin, and Rahul Subramanian. Background score is handled by Gopi Sunder.
